I had a dentist once tell me that she could tell how I took care of my body by looking at my teeth. Since then, I've taken my oral care as serious as I do my physical fitness. I recently had an opportunity to try out a new string-free "floss", the BrytonPick. Since only 12% of the population flosses regularly, I thought I should share my experience.
Product Description:
String FREE, Reusable and Portable Dental Floss for people on-the-go or those who are unable to floss (or hate flossing). Great for people wearing braces or Invisalign. BrytonPick is convenient and discreet, making it more socially acceptable than typical products. It's designed to be used daily, when on the go, to remove food debris and plaque from between teeth after meals and snacks.
BrytonPick is made in the USA from completely recyclable materials. An additional environment benefit is that BritonPick is reusable (because of its germ-resistant stainless steel cleaning strips), thereby reducing the waste stream.
What I think:
I have to admit, it was pretty weird looking when I opened it up. It looks a little scary, like a tiny boomerang with foil ends. As with anything new that I get, I had to try it right away! I have to admit, I wasn't crazy about the idea of sticking stainless steel between my teeth. It was odd, not bad though. It worked pretty well on my top teeth and was faster than traditional floss. My bottom teeth are pretty close together so it was a little trickier and felt a little tight. I didn't use it on my molars. I have a couple metal fillings and had no desire to feel that weird sensation when you touch metal to your fillings.
Overall, I would say that that the BrytonPick is "OK". It's a little weird, but it does get the job done. I wouldn't use it as my daily flosser, but I will definitely keep one in my pocketbook. It's good to have on hand when you're out.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using
Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
